Informal Review : Radiohead – The King Of Limbs

As the dust settles, it seems like the line on the second surprise album in a row is that it’s the sound of an adventurous, innovative band settling in and playing conservative, doing what they do best and not much more. But for me, this one’s slightly better than the highly acclaimed IN RAINBOWS because it boasts a stronger set of songs – the back half, especially, is pretty riveting. The blips and bloops can be a little overbearing under headphones, as every track entails layers and layers of sonic texture, but then again, isn’t sonic texture what they’ve decided they do best?
