Goodbye Conchords, goodbye

I don’t have much to say about this. Its sad. Really sad. Sure season 2 was not as good as season 1 but now we will never know how season 3 would turn out.

“Bret, Jemaine and James (co-creator/director) said “we’ve noticed the less we say about the future of the show, the more people want to talk about it, so in an effort to reverse this trend we are today announcing that we won’t be returning for a 3rd season. We’re very proud of the two seasons we made and we like the way the show ended. We’d like to thank everyone who helped make the show and also everyone who watched it. While the characters Bret and Jemaine will no longer be around, the real Bret and Jemaine will continue to exist.”

This sums my feelings up perfectly:

One Response to Goodbye Conchords, goodbye

Sorry, but this is not sad. Some things are just not meant to go on for a long time. They just can’t stay at a certain level of consistency. Let’s be honest; season 2 wasn’t just not as good as season 1 – it was painful. Almost nothing worked. A shadow of its former self. I’m glad that the guys shot this dog before it went even further downhill. Season 1’s really funny, though. On to bigger and better things, I say!
